Blurb Project Life book

I wrote in this post about our 2015 Project Life album and the other day our book from Blurb arrived! This post is mainly to show photos of the book (as my husband said "you're taking a photo of photos"!). The quality is amazing and I'm so happy to add this book to our collection :)

On display on our front table. I think I'll keep it here for awhile so the boys can look at it whenever they like

154 pages of photos to capture our year!

I have finally finished all the layouts for our family's 2015 Project Life album! As I did with our 2014 album, I am getting them printed into a book through Blurb and will post more photos of the actual book when I get it (I have just received notification that it's shipped!). But for now I wanted to share some of my favourite layouts as well as some notes on the album.

I started our 2015 album doing weekly layouts but when I became pregnant and had severe morning sickness I didn't really take any photos. So, I ended up documenting monthly for the rest of the year. I saved any photos I took in monthly folders on my computer and phone and once I was feeling a bit better I did a couple of months layouts at a time. Some notes on the layouts I created:

  • I used the Project Life app to create all my layouts
  • I used a variety of layout designs and especially liked the "Bigshot" series of designs when I wanted to focus more on the photos rather than journalling
  • I used quite a few different PL kits including: Dear Lizzy Day Dreamer Mini Kit; Happy Edition; Love Story; Playful Edition; Project 52 Edition (and more I think!)
  • Photos used are a mix of iPhone and DSLR

When creating the photo book in Blurb I referred back to my guest blog post at Organising the Four of Us that I wrote last year. I also answered some questions in this post here.

Here are some of my favourite layouts:
