Berowra Waters

Last Sunday was cold and grey but not raining so we decided to get out of the house for a bit and drive down to Berowra Waters for lunch. We came across from Berowra side of the river so caught the car ferry over. Hubby drove he car with baby Beau onboard and the other 2 boys and I walked on. It's a quick trip across the river but was fun for the kids!

Once we were on the other side of the river we got some hot fish and chips for lunch from the cafe and sat at the tables near the water to eat.

There's BBQ facilities down there and a family were cooking sausages. There were 2 kookaburras around and 1 swooped down and stole a sausage!

We had a look for fish in the water but couldn't see any. There were lots of seagulls and ducks though.

The boys had a play in the park for a bit before we headed home via the country roads.

We love doing little family adventures on Sunday's (the only day hubby doesn't work). If you have any suggestions on places around Sydney we should go and see, I'd love to hear them!
