The end of 2015 was such a busy time for us. We now have all 5 of our family's birthdays spread across November and December, so I don't think it's going to be any less quieter in future years!
Mr 5 finished his first year of school, and what an amazing year he had! We are so proud of him and couldn't have asked for a better start to school. He loved it, but was also very ready for a break over the summer holidays!
Christmas came and went so quickly. My sister came and stayed with us for a few days, making it an extra special time. I love our Christmas traditions we're creating with the boys, so despite having a newborn and being extremely tired we still went and looked at the local Christmas lights and "Elfie" (our Elf on the Shelf) came and visited our household for the 3rd year.
On Christmas Eve the local rural fire brigade drive around our neighbourhood with Santa in the fire truck and throw lollies to the kids. Such a fun way to spend Christmas Eve!
The bigger boys managed to wake at a fairly decent time on Christmas morning and opened their stocking presents from Santa before waiting until us adults were ready to do the presents under the tree. My family all came over for Christmas lunch and we spent the day eating yummy food and playing with the kids new toys!
On Boxing Day Mr 5 became Mr 6! He had his actual party back in November (a Boxing Day birthday plus a new Bub meant having it closer to his actual birthday wasn't such a good option this year) so we just had family over to celebrate and a simple lunch of pizza and icecream cake.
The last few days of 2015 were spent having time together as a family, as hubby was off work, and a quiet New Year's Eve at home.
So happy new year and here's to an amazing 2016 for all our loved ones!
